Keeping Children Healthy
30 Sep
Child health care is geared towards keeping a child healthy. It is also heavily concerned with the treatment and care of a child after the child has been stricken with a disease. Infant children and toddlers and secondary school scholars are constantly getting sick. It is usually just the common flu virus or disease that most of them are subjected to.
Care usually just means a few days rest in bed, fed with soup, cough medicine and various home remedies that mothers and their mothers have used since time first began. These mild illnesses are to be fully expected because our immune system cannot develop resistance to exposure until such a time as the body has actually been exposed to the disease or whatever.
By the time in the future when the child reaches adulthood they will have an immune system with thousands of resistances. It will then be just the flu and major diseases that we can be in fear of being endangered by.
The fact is that despite the seeming susceptibility that children have to common diseases when compared to adults they are quite simply healthier. Child health care seems to have a lesser priority than adult health care.
