Childs Health at School

What has child health got to do with starting school?  Well nothing really except that at the start of a new term or year the older the child gets the more important it is for them to avoid the bugs they can be exposed to during their daily routines.  It can be difficult but not impossible to stay healthy.

Firstly ensure your child has enough sleep.  Nine hours is recommended in order to promote god health.  If the holidays are long then enforce ‘school bedtime’ hours a few days before term starts.  This will enable their body’s internal clock to start adapting to the term time hours.

Secondly reinforce regular washing of the hands.  This is an easy and effective way to keep contaminants away from the child’s person.

Thirdly, insist on giving the child a healthy breakfast.  This is essential in order for your child to start the new term properly.  Scientists have proved that children having a good breakfast tend to learn better compared those who decide to skip this important meal.  Children eating breakfast also tend to miss less schooling.

Finally, give your child natural Omega 3 supplements.  Parents tend to forget this but they do have amazing benefits for the child’s physical and mental health
